On April 15 members of the Cleantech Lithuania cluster gathered for the first meeting of a new format — a visit to one of the cluster members, “Toksika” in Šiaulių branch. This initiative was born from the desire to strengthen community ties and create more space for lively, practical cooperation. It is important for us not only to meet at events, but also to travel where real processes take place - to companies where cleantech technological solutions are developed and implemented.

During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the entire chain of hazardous waste management, from its collection and storage to the processes of treatment and energy recovery.
During the excursion, the main areas of the object were visited:
This experience allowed not only to see the complex waste management infrastructure, but also to better understand the applicable safety, environmental and technological standards.

An important part of the visit was discussion and exchange of ideas. After the tour, the cluster members shared insights, asked questions and discussed possible directions for cooperation. During the visit, the first discussions were held on potential joint initiatives among the cluster members, which is one of the most important objectives of this format.

This visit marks the start of a new Cleantech Lithuania initiative — regular visits to cluster members. It is expected that this practice will become an important platform for sharing knowledge, strengthening mutual trust and the emergence of new joint projects.
We sincerely thank the team of UAB “Toksika” for the hospitality and detailed presentation, and especially Marius Busilas for the initiative and a perfectly organized visit. We also thank all participants for their active involvement and valuable discussions.
